We have a Ranger in the Family!

CPT Michael Cryer is now Ranger tabbed!  I could not be more proud of him.  This is really a major feat in the Army.  It has often been called the toughest combat course in the Army...  Consists of 3 intense phases of training-- all phases in different environments, all testing different skills totaling in 60 days of stress, no sleep, no food, no privacy, and little shelter from the elements.  It has certainly been challenging for Michael, but I'm proud to say that he made it straight through all of the phases without having to repeat any-- having to repeat phases is VERY common.  Here is his class...

Started with 416 soldiers, here are the 170 Ranger graduates!

We got a pretty cool demonstration show of what they have been doing all of this time that they've been away!  Did I mention that while Michael was away, we could only write letters (and those were few and far between)!!  I'm so happy to have him just a phone call away again :)

And the moment he has been waiting for since he was commissioned into the infantry....
Someone is Ranger Tabbed!
A very proud Ranger wife...
And a kiss for the solider...

Everyone has to have a first...

So, I’ve decided to start a blog documenting my and my Husband’s life leading up to, and documenting our lives in Hawaii!  Since getting married on September 17, 2011, we have not lived together or lived in the same state.  Crazy, I know, but with both of us being in the military, we can’t really pack up and move whenever we want.  He is currently stationed at Ft. Benning, GA and I am at the Water Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, MD.  He is an Infantry Captain in the Army and I am a Navy Nurse.  How we met and ended up together is another story I’ll have to share later…
The military isn’t the greatest when it comes to spending a lot of time with your significant other, but it has proven to be a true blessing for us because we both got orders to OAHU HAWAII!  Can we say ALOHA!!  I am scheduled to leave in May of 2012 and he just a few months before me.  We both cannot wait!  I also can’t wait to update this blog more as we broach one of the most exciting times in our lives together!  More updates to come daily, because I love to waste time on the computer.   :)
